BATH MASTERY with CHIEF ARCHITECT

Bathroom Design Mastery with Chief Architect

By the end of this 3-week Bathroom Mastery Design course, you will have an applicable knowledge of bath design! You will be able to identify your clients’ needs and apply this information to their design practice. You will also be able to incorporate time-saving CAD skills into your Bath Design/Construction Plans.

COURSE WILL COVER:

  • Shower construction details: linear drain/curbless showers, sizes, steam showers

  • New NKBA Bathroom Guidelines and Accessibility standards and how to apply them to your designs

  • Custom Symbols

  • Learn how to create dormers and vaulted ceilings, shower curbs, shower walls, niches, benches, and more

  • Review and breakdown of shower sizes & functionality 

  • How to create a shower in Chief Architect

  • Vanity storage, design, heights, functionality

  • Selecting toilets for your client

  • Lighting/ventilation

  • Custom cabinets and how to create a library

  • Saving custom schedules to your template

  • Creating multiple layout page sizes in one layout template


REAL WORLD LIGHTING DESIGN FOR KITCHEN & BATHS

Real World Lighting Design for Kitchen & Baths with Chief Architect

By the end of this three-week course, designers will have an applicable knowledge of lighting design.  Students will understand watts, lumens, and candle power and how this knowledge will determine their lamp and fixture selection.  They will apply this knowledge to their kitchen and bath designs. Students will be able to incorporate the time-saving cad skills in their Bath Design/Construction Plans

COURSE WILL COVER:

  • Read and understand photometrics from lighting suppliers, apply this knowledge to your kitchen and bath designs

  • Understand how lumens and candlepower apply to good lighting design

  • Lumen and candle power requirements per room

  • The Math and design layout

  • Lamp and fixture selection

  • Lighting for kitchens, baths, and more

  • Lighting controls

  • Creating an electrical plan in Chief Architect
